As a mother, a retired Air Force Veteran, and someone with over 10 years of clinical interactions and exposures helping people of all faiths, races, and experiences, Dr. Gaffney offers a safe and welcoming space. Dr. Gaffney's clinical training and experiences have made her client centered, solution focused, and able to meet clients where they are on their journey. After her military service, she became a Marriage, Family, and Child Therapist (2007), and then a clinical psychologist (Psy.D.) in 2014. She has provided therapy and counseling services for the Dept. of Veteran Affairs, a state correctional facility, and numerous non-profit organizations. She has presented at national, regional, and local conferences, where she has also been able to gain additional knowledge and skills that she can use in her practice. Her presentations have been geared toward mentoring students of color, military sexual trauma, and intersecting cultural identities.
Dr. A has a passion for empowering others to reach their full potential by cultivating an understanding of individual, community, and collective strengths and resilience. She is passionate about empowering each client to learn tools to thrive and enjoy life, even with unexpected and difficult circumstances. As a multi-ethnic, same-race adoptee, she serves the community as a family support expert and certified life, health, and wellness coach. Affectionately known as Dr. A by her clients both young and young at heart, her specialty is working within foster/kinship/ adoptive family systems. She has over 20 years of experience working with individuals, youth, and families to address trauma, emotion regulation, family dynamics, communication, identity, and loss. She has conducted her clinical work in various settings within medical facilities, Dept. of Veteran Affairs, private practices, non-profit agencies, in-home visits, and teletherapy.
Dr. A uses an integrative and holistic approach to assess and meet the needs of each client in a comfortable and nonjudgmental environment. To heal is to touch with love that which was previously touched by fear. Let’s take the first step in healing and change together.

She strives to continuously grow and learn new and innovative techniques to assist the people that she has the privilege of serving. Shabren Harvey-Smith has been a social worker and clinician for over 16 years. She is a wife and mother of two and enjoys volunteering as an active member of her Sorority. Shabren's professional mental health and behavioral health experience includes substance abuse residential counseling, hospice, community mobile crisis, juvenile justice, medical social work and private practice. She is passionate about assisting those in her care by removing known and unknown barriers in an effort to reach full potential to live a meaningful and gratifying life.
Daniel Perez is an LMFT who has a passion for working with individuals, couples, and children to help them with issues that arise throughout life.

Daniel’s therapeutic influences are from the following theoretical orientations: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, parenting classes/ strategies, and working with corporate clients.
He completed his master's degree in 2017. Daniel is bi-lingual and has the ability to provide counseling in Spanish.

Haley Hertz is deeply passionate about creating a warm and welcoming space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. She believes that everyone has the strength within them to overcome challenges and create meaningful change. With a compassionate and empathetic approach, Haley helps clients navigate life’s difficulties, empowering them to build resilience, manage stress, and embrace their full potential. She enjoys working with adolescents and adults, tailoring her support to meet each individual’s unique needs and goals.
Haley has eight years of experience as a school counselor in Contra Costa County, working with a diverse range of children and families. Prior to her work in education, she supported unrepresented litigants in the family court system, helping individuals navigate legal challenges with care and understanding. This experience gave her a unique perspective on the complexities of family dynamics and reinforced her commitment to advocacy and support.
As a Psychological Associate, Haley combines her clinical expertise with a compassionate approach to help clients on their path to healing. Her rich and varied background allows her to provide holistic and heartfelt support to clients facing an array of challenges. Haley is committed to walking alongside her clients on their journey toward growth, self-discovery, and lasting change.
Christina Jackson has been a Practice Manager since January of 2024. Her background has been Legal Secretary for 8 and a half years and retail Management for 13 years prior.
Christina's focus is patient experience. She is responsible for the operations and smooth running of the practice to ensure everyone in the practice can deliver our services to patients in need. Christina has successfully coordinated multidisciplinary teams, optimized practice workflows, and introduced innovative processes to streamline patient intake, and scheduling.
